SEEKING THE CATHOLIC COMMUNITY PROFILE

The initial pose we do to find the profile of the Catholic community is asking "Who are we?". So valuable is to identify this identity, which places us as Christians to the task of evangelization of the Church that will determine our action and our commitment to be more aware, and from there, the more effective our work.
relatively new reality of social communication in the life of the world and the Church, means that many times we are not positioned as Catholic communicators in the organization of the diocesan Pastoral, or even our church, movement or institution. It is easier to identify and gather catechists, volunteers from Caritas, ministers and staff from the liturgy, that we are doing our ministry using the instruments of social communication. Let's find our place, we organize our ministry, so closely linked with other pastoral, let's meet to share our work, we are factors of communion and unity in our communities.
This is a specific task of our mission. We can not be complicit in the great work of the devil in the division. Our communication should express our communion. At the same time, communication leads to an encounter, dialogue, openness, knowledge, generated in its environment, and communion. We are called to be instruments of unity in the Church.
We said at the outset that we are Christians committed to the evangelizing mission of the Church. It is elementary that we place ourselves in this reality that we identified. Our mission is not a separate task. We can not be "sniping" because we are committed to the essentials of the Church: the Church exists to evangelize. Every Christian has received from the Lord this mission. And also why we feel pressed by this command: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." We accomplish this it must have powerful means of social communication, as we have received gifts, talents, skills that enable us to bring to people today the message of Jesus Christ with the language and the modern means by which we communicate now .
We received a mandate. Our ministry is a vocation. We were called by Jesus and the Church sent us this mission. I feel today deep in the heart that have been chosen and trained to perform this task. The Church confirmed the election of God, encouraging us and giving us the place we have, to spread with dignity and competence to the Word of God through what we write, say or show.
Our hard, committed and passionate mission will require a thorough knowledge of the reality that we must proclaim the Gospel, which we imbue with Gospel values. Our changing culture requires us to be aware of situations that appear to respond from our faith. We can not live for a spiritualism that isolate us, but, with steadfast in the Lord we walk footing the realities of the world, critical thinking and ability of understanding, tolerance and dialogue.
The Church calls us to a new evangelization, new in its methods, in their expressions and their ardor. We always need to find new language to proclaim the Gospel. It is significant that we can provide at this time. Being able to use the media language puts us in a unique position to evangelize. As Pope Paul VI "We would feel guilty before God if we used these powerful means to evangelize."
Because it is so important our task-mission received from the Lord and encouraged by the Church-not We can communicate in any way. We aspire to excellence in Catholic communications. Our style of communication should be exemplary. They show the dignity and richness of the Word of God. So we must seek every day to enable us to properly use the word, writing, image and even new technologies. The Catholic community must be technically qualified for this task that requires constant creativity in the service of the Kingdom. We generate original ideas, entertaining, able to reach the heart of our party and transform your life with the quickening power of the Gospel. The younger should seek to achieve a tertiary qualifications or university in this field. We are short of professionals dedicated to live this apostolate with conviction, consistency and professional quality. We often lack the necessary cunning of Jesus speaking to challenge to evangelism.
course, not enough technical training. Not only must you acquire a good language, have a good voice, write correctly or display properly in the media. You have to have something to say. Hence, it is so important doctrinal training. And this is a lifelong learning. Today, not enough to have done a Bible course, or seminar of catechesis, or even be a professor of theology ... Every day we read, study, investigate, to "give reasons for our faith," as Saint Paul tells us. We support the truth we proclaim. The Church in its long tradition has developed numerous magisterial documents argue its dogmas and moral. We must always go to those sources. We can not be "opinólogos" as many in the media. Each issue we try to be treated with responsibility, because we are committed to the truth.
often think that just the mere subjective experience of faith, and we tend to separate the experiential than doctrinal. In fact theology should lead to the Tabernacle. As we deepen the faith intellectually, it must grow into prayer, an encounter with the living God. It is that profound and authentic experience should talk then our mouths. The communicator Catholic evangelization within the Church is a witness of Christ, and as the apostles have to say that "he has seen and heard" his profound experience of personal faith and community. There may therefore be silent ... is that "the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks," and that perceived by recipients of our messages, because "those who eat garlic smells like garlic, who eats Eucharist Eucharist smells ..."
In exercising our task, we are putting the spotlight on our light, the light of Jesus. Are our good works to be light for men to see us act may believe, "as it has Jesus himself taught. But how hard is it to be so exposed in the media, glass transformed the world today, without overpowering the one who is the true Light.
A sin in which we can fall as journalists is the lack of humility. "Appear" in an environment puts us in a prominent place. We are not always prepared for this public display. Thus, humility moderates the appetite we have to excel, counter arrogance, pride, vanity. If we are not aware, as John the Baptist, that only are the voice of who is the Word, we enceguecerán the applause and compliments you often receive from our partners. It is true that encourages our job to know our recipients receive our welcome message, but it is always the risk of wanting to "appear." There would be fruitless our apostolate and evangelization would be incomplete or you will see us and not Jesus Christ, even running the risk of accommodating the message to "save face" with whom we hear or read.
This reflection makes us conclude that only the Holy evangelize, for the real announcement is to be made by word and example. Think
our identity as Catholic communicators is to think of our unique way of holiness. Look
employers of communication. How well can we draw for our spiritual life if we inquire about the life and mission of St. Paul, St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Francis de Sales, St. John Bosco, St. John Chrysostom, Blessed James Alberione, among others.
If our ministry is a vocation, a mission given by the Lord and received shipment of the Church is here where will our personal sanctification. We can not think outside nuestraactividad be saints daily. Our stories, our writings, our radio productions, television, and digital graphics are our response to God's will. Hence the perfection of our actions and the ongoing journey of conversion in the discernment of what counts and what does not.
take seriously our mission of Catholic communicators is to take seriously our holiness of life. From there we can expect good fruits of our labors towards evangelization.
are many more things to say, much the way of thinking that we have to go find the right profile of the Catholic communicator. That leaves open the discussion to continue arguing our identity and identify with the mission received. Respond well to the Lord who has chosen us with the joy of knowing his instruments in communion with the Church for the salvation of the world. Article
