We eat at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day , but how to get our children to eat them?
Five reasons to eat vegetables and fruits
1. They are an exceptional source of vitamins and minerals, for some, such as C, are almost exclusive.
2. They have a high water content, which is essential for hydration of our children.
3. Are the major source of antioxidants and, therefore, prevent diseases like cancer, heart attacks or diabetes.
4. We can enjoy them at any season.
5. Can be prepared in many ways such as cooking and imagination permitted, whether raw, roasted, grilled, breaded, sweet or salty. Combined with any dish and side dishes are perfect or unique dishes.
Some tricks to get
- You can introduce vegetables in places unthinkable: sandwiches, pastries, pizzas ...- Try varying the vegetables as possible, and their presentation. Maybe your child does not like broccoli sautéed, but with mayonnaise or salad.
